The track of the AOK Fun-Run, J&J MedTech Speed Race and Sparkasse Aachen Silvester Challenge first leads along Jakobstraße, before going round the cathedral, the Elisenbrunnen and the town hall, as in the Junior Cup.
The lap is run twice at the AOK Fun-Run and the J&J MedTech Speed Race and four times at the Sparkasse Aachen Silvester Challenge. The counting of the laps is the responsibility of the participants and will be checked electronically.
The Junior Cup track is 1.6 km long and runs around the cathedral, the Elisenbrunnen fountain and the town hall. The lap is run once.
The other three runs also pass the Jakobstraße and have a track of 2.3 km, which is run in different numbers of laps depending on the run.
We are once again offering four different runs in the heart of the city centre:

*The finish of the Silvester Challenge is 90 minutes after the start. After this time, the organiser reserves the right to lift existing route closures.
All runs will be counted for the Regio Aachen Laufcup, whereby only one run per person will be counted and the AOK Fun Run and J&J MedTech Speed Race will count as one run.
There is prize money for the top three women and men (see ‘Awards’ section)!
There is a refreshment point on Großkölnstraße at the end of each lap and at the market square in the finish area.
Information on the J&J MedTech Speed Race
The J&J MedTech Speed Race over 4.5 km gives the fastest participants the opportunity to put their skills to the test.
To take part in this run, you should be able to run 5 km in under 25 minutes.
The top three women and men will receive prize money totalling 700 euros in cash.
Junior Cup:
Every pupil in this run receives a medal.
The three school and youth teams with the most finishers will receive an award. All participants up to and including the age of 13 will be counted. The award ceremony takes place after the run.
AOK Fun Run:
The three best placed participants will receive prizes from our sponsors. The award ceremony will take place after the run.
J&J MedTech Speed Race:
There is prize money of €200, €100 and €50 for the three fastest men and women respectively. The award ceremony takes place after the run.
Sparkasse Aachen Silvester Challenge:
The three best placed participants will receive prizes. The award ceremony takes place after the run.
