Preparations

Start number distribution

In advance on 28 and 29 December at Intersport Drucks in Aachen (Alexanderstraße 30, 52062 Aachen)

On 31 December, starting numbers can be collected from 10 a.m. in the Minoritenstraße indoor sports hall.

For technical reasons, only start numbers registered by 22 December can be collected from Drucks. All start numbers registered later can only be collected on 31 December near the market square.

Information about the start numbers

A timing chip is attached to the back of each start number. The start numbers must be worn visibly on the chest to ensure adequate timekeeping and must not be altered or covered. Personal data, contact persons and medical emergency information can be entered on the back of the start number.

We are also offering a preparation course this year!

This course is for all those who want to prepare for the New Year’s Eve Run together in a training group and is suitable for all ability levels.
You have never run before and would like to get started running with like-minded people under expert guidance? Do you want to prepare well for the run? Do you want to get back into running training after a long break or an injury? Or do you want to improve your running technique?

Changing rooms/showers

Changing rooms and showers are available in the Minoritenstraße indoor sports hall (Minoritenstraße 7, 52062 Aachen)

Storing luggage during the run

There is a luggage bus at the Katschhof where items can be stored on presentation of the start number. No liability is accepted for stored items.

Further information about the New Year’s Eve Run can be found in the FAQ.

Shortly before the run

The start number must be worn at the front and must not be modified or covered.

15 minutes before each run there is a warm-up programme on the market square.

The personal timekeeping starts after crossing the start line.
